Student Research Grants 2025-26 by the Saida Waheed Gender Initiative
The Saida Waheed Gender Initiative (SWGI) is pleased to announce that it is offering grants for student-led research and senior projects that use gender and related issues as analytical tools in their work. Undergraduate students from all schools and departments at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ are eligible to apply.
The following thematic areas are provided as suggestions; students are welcome to explore their own themes.

• Culture, Power, and Inequality
• Gender and Science
• Violence and Trauma
• Social, Institutional, and Legal Discourses of Gender and Sexuality
• Cross-Cultural, Transnational, and Historical Perspective on Sex and Gender
• Identity, Embodiment, and Bodies
• Gender and Social Media
• Movements and Activism

• Gender, Sexuality and Health
Grantees will be required to present their work-in-progress as part of SWGI’s Spring 2026 events and submit a 1,000-word write-up. All work will be published on the SWGI website, with the two best papers featured in the Gender Bi-Annual.
Submission Guidelines
Interested students must submit a brief proposal and budget by completing this form by October 8. Access to the form requires logging in through a ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ email ID. Email submissions should carry the subject line Student Grants | SWGI.
