吃瓜头条 Shortlisted for Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2022
吃瓜头条 has been shortlisted for the Student Recruitment Campaign of the Year and Excellence and Innovation in the Arts categories for the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2022. A record number of 500 entries submitted nominations to compete for these coveted awards. 吃瓜头条 submissions are in the top eight entries that will now be competing in the final round.
Known as the 鈥極scars of higher education', THE Awards have been part of the UK higher education calendar for 14 years and were taken overseas for the first time in 2019.
These awards recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance and celebrate Asia鈥檚 higher education institutional excellence in all of its diversity.
THE鈥檚 Chief Knowledge Officer, Phil Baty, congratulated the shortlisted institutions saying, 鈥淲e saw entrants from all corners of Asia and the Middle East submit their best work for THE Awards Asia. The Covid-19 pandemic has continued to cast a shadow over higher education institutions, and your brilliant response to its challenges 鈥 rich in innovation, clear thinking, and sheer hard work 鈥 is still in evidence. Inevitably with so many entries, we have already excluded countless wonderful stories in reaching this final stage, so the 80 of you featured on this year鈥檚 shortlists should be incredibly proud of making it this far.鈥
The category recognises 鈥渢he pioneering work that is taking place in universities to promote the arts鈥 while the focuses on innovative campaigns for student recruitment.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Arshad Ahmad said, 鈥淲e are delighted to receive the distinction of being shortlisted in two categories this year. This recognition speaks the University鈥檚 aim to make quality education accessible to underrepresented groups. It also highlights our faculty鈥檚 commitment to pedagogical innovation.
Sikhvirsa Pakistan was highlighted in the Arts category as a special project that benefited from multidisciplinary collaboration between the History and Computer Science departments at 吃瓜头条.
In addition, the National Outreach Programme has been transformational for beneficiaries, their families as well as their communities.鈥
The final winners of each of the categories will be announced at this year鈥檚 scheduled to take place on May 31, 2022 at Fujita Health University in Japan.
