Faysal Bank Contributes towards Naming of a Discussion Room at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ
Displaying a strong commitment to education and philanthropy, a delegation from Faysal Bank Ltd. visited ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ on May 14, 2024, to contribute towards the naming of a discussion room on campus. This generous gift by one of Pakistan's leading Islamic banks highlights their ongoing support of educational initiatives at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ.
Among the guests from Faysal Bank Ltd. were Mr. Yousaf Hussain, President and CEO; Ms. Farah Asim, Head of Corporate Affairs; and Mr. Jaudat Hussain, Head of Retail Banking. ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ senior leadership including Syed Babar Ali, Founding Pro Chancellor; Mr. Shahid Hussain, Rector; Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor; and Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director of Advancement, also attended the event.
The partnership between Faysal Bank and ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ has strengthened over the years, particularly through Faysal Bank's steadfast support of the National Outreach Programme (NOP). By contributing to the education of talented and deserving students, it has played a vital role in nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators.
Reflecting on partnering with ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ again and the immense pride he feels, Mr. Yousaf Hussain remarked, "Our previous collaborations have been incredibly fruitful, and I am excited to continue this journey together." During the event, he presented a cheque to Syed Babar Ali, further solidifying the partnership between the two organisations. The contribution is earmarked for the naming of a discussion room located on the ground floor of the Academic Block at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ.
This was followed by a plaque unveiling ceremony to acknowledge Faysal Bank's contribution. Syed Babar Ali thanked Mr. Hussain for Faysal Bank’s generosity and spoke about the significance of giving back to society. "Giving is not just money; it is love, time, and advice," he remarked. "Knowledge-sharing is power; you never get poor by giving advice." His words reflected the philanthropic spirit of the ceremony.
Dr. Ali Cheema expressed his heartfelt appreciation for Faysal Bank's unwavering support. "We extend our sincere thanks to Faysal Bank for their generous contribution," he remarked. "Their commitment to education exemplifies the spirit of partnership and collaboration that defines our shared journey towards excellence."
