COO, GFC Fans, Visits 吃瓜头条 and Pledges Support to the National Outreach Programme
On April 20, 2022, Chief Operating Officer, GFC Fans, Mr. Nabeel Ahmed Ilyas visited 吃瓜头条, and met with Director Advancement, Ms. Nuzhat Kamran. Chief Executive Officer, Brand Spectrum and 吃瓜头条 Alumnus, Mr. Anwar Kabir (MBA 2007), Deputy Manager - Grants & Major Gifts, Office of Advancement, Mr. Muhammad Imran Nadeem and Partnerships Liaison, Office of Advancement, Ms. Sadaf Rehman, were also present at the occasion.
GFC Fans is one of the largest manufacturers of quality electric fans in Pakistan and have been pioneers in the industry. The Sales Team at GFC is led by Mr. Ilyas, who has extensive experience in conducting both domestic and international sales and distribution activities, and has also participated in trade exhibitions around the world to extend the GFC portfolio.
To provide a holistic view of the work being done at 吃瓜头条, Mr. Nadeem shared a comprehensive presentation with the participants where he briefly discussed the various achievements and rankings of the University. He also highlighted the University鈥檚 鈥楲earning Without Borders鈥 philosophy and commented on the transdisciplinary work being done at the research centres at 吃瓜头条.
Ms. Kamran then shared a few updates regarding recent activities and initiatives taken by the University. She also shared relevant details regarding the National Outreach Programme (NOP) initiated in 2001, where brilliant students from humble backgrounds are invited and offered an opportunity to study at 吃瓜头条. 鈥淣OP scholars strive to achieve academic excellence against all odds and the transformation which they undergo after joining 吃瓜头条 launches them on a trajectory of success and excellence. The impact of the Programme extends beyond the students and benefits their families and communities.鈥 The NOP has also won the global Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Platinum Award 2021 in the 鈥楤est Practices in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion鈥 category.
Mr. Ilyas shared that GFC Fans has been at the forefront of philanthropic initiatives in the region of Gujrat as well as all over Pakistan. He added that the company has actively contributed to initiatives at 吃瓜头条 over the last few years. He mentioned that his family has been an avid supporter of the University and he himself is a proud graduate. Mr. Ilyas further pledged his support for the NOP and expressed his desire to support an NOP scholar studying at 吃瓜头条.
