I am a Teaching Fellow that teaches writing to undergraduate students through a multi-disciplinary lens of humanities, liberal arts, and social science. I also teach courses on South Asian literature and writing with 吃瓜头条 Centre for Continuing Education Studies.
I completed my Masters in Comparative Literature from King's College London in 2018; my dissertation is on the legacy, reception, and adaptation of Jane Austen's works in Pakistan and India. My research focuses on the various forms of resistance and agency exhibited by women in literary narratives and cultural productions of South Asia since the twentieth century, and how these portrayals have evolved to resonate with the third and fourth waves of feminism.
I enjoy writing fictional prose and poetry, and some of extempore writings can be found on @qabileizhaar on Instagram.
