Hasham Nasir is a Teaching Fellow at the Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ (³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ). His focus lies in gender studies, media studies and the role of education in fostering change, which he explores through various courses such as: Education and Conflict, Gender Media and Education, Philosophy of Education and Leadership: The Politics of Change.
In addition to teaching, he is also engaged in innovative and problem-focused interdisciplinary research on the role of education and the internet in transformation of gender power relations, governance, statehood and democracy in Pakistan. Recipient of the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Learning Institute Pedagogical Partnerships Programme grant and The Williams Institute, UCLA Small Grants Programme, Hasham is also a Chevening scholar with a Masters in Gender Media and Culture from London School of Economics and Political Science, and certificate in Media Policy and Regulation from Oxford Media Policy Institute at University of Oxford.
